Black, White & Grey

Over on Ruby's Rainbow Challenge Blog the challenge has been issued...

Our theme for this fortnights challenge has been chosen by team mate Sandra and Sandra would like to see your project be Black, White + 1 other colour.

* BLACK, WHITE + 1 OTHER COLOUR ONLY *

Don't forget we are a multi craft challenge so you may make anything so long as it fits the theme.
Ok, the black & white part was easy, the next question was what other colour...
After some thinking I came up with the idea of stamping an image and then using shades of Grey to colour it.  Using My ProMarkers I picked out my Cool & Warm Grey shades and set to work.
I used the 'Big Present' stamp from Lili of the Valley and the sentiment stamp was from Papermania.  This was the first time I had ever tried to colour using shades of grey and I must admit I was very easy to do and I am even happy with the result!
On 23 June I celebrated my 1st Blogaversary, if you would like chance to win some Candy please go to my Blogaversary post HERE.

Baby & Child

Over on Ruby's Rainbow Challenge the topic for this challenge is:
This fortnights challenge #19 and theme has been chosen by our lovely
Team mate Jacqui who would like to see
Something for a Baby Or Child
So on when the thinking cap and this is what I came up with - I have made 2 variations on this card, one for a boy and one for a girl.

Both of these cards are using a stamp from Stampin' Up, coloured with my ProMarkers and I used my Nestibility dies to cut/emboss the shapes.

As I don't know anyone who is expecting a baby, I will be donating both of these cards to charity (Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance) for them to sell to help with fund raising.

For the Boys

The Ruby's Rainbow Challenge is 'For the Boys'.  I have created this card as a gift for Christmas, the image is a free stamp with a magazine last year.  I then used my ProMarkers to colour the image.

2 Cards for 2 Challenges

Today I have been able to complete 2 cards for 2 challenges...

The first card was for Ruby's Rainbow Challenge, the challenge this week is 'For the Girls'.  For the first time ever I opened my 'Bathtime' set of stamps from Woodware Craft Collection... what could be more Girly than a soak in the bath?
I don't know why but Blogger seems to think that this is the correct way up for this image!
Card number 2 was for the I Love Promarkers Challenge where the subject is Travel/Transport... now I have very few stamps which would fall into either, but I was able to find one set which would work.  Hobby Art has a set of stamps called 'Flypast', so I have used those to create an Aircraft themed card.
Blogger still does not want to let me turn this photo around !!!
I appologies if anyone suffers neck ache from looking at my pictures, on my computer they are the correct way up... but Blogger thinks it knows better.  If anyone knows how to turn them in Blogger please let me know.

Autunm Card

For the first time ever I have been able to plan & create a card to meet 2 challenges!  The card I created was A5 size, which is unusual for me, I prefer smaller cards.

This card was created using paper from the Making Cards Magazine, Brads (topped with Candi) and a Papermania 'Paper Flower'.

The papers met the 'Autumn Colours' required for the Craft Us Crazy challenge as well as the 'Recipe' for Ruby's Rainbow Challenge

In addition the 'Recipe' called for Brads/Buttons x 2 as my brads did not match the theme of the card, I added 'Candi' to each in keeping with the theme (I hope this is allowed).

The 'Recipe' also included 1 Flower and the Craft Us Crazy challenge was a Favorite Embellishment - at the moment I love the Papermania 'Paper Flowers' as they are in white I have used my ProMarker to colour the flowers as required (this one is Caramel).

Flower straight from the pack...

After the flower met with my ProMarker (Caramel) it was transformed.
I hope you enjoyed my card.

Ruby's Rainbow Challange - Stitching

I have only just found the 'Ruby's Rainbow Challange' blog and thought that I would join in too... The current challenge is:
Now onto this fortnights challenge which is STITCHING this can be faux or real
Getting the sewing machine out was not going to happen, so it would be Faux stitching.  I had just completed my first decoupage images using the Me to You bears, so what better topic for a stitching theme.  I had created a second Image which was not used, so I decided to use that on this card.

I don't know what has come over me today, in less that 1 hour I have created 2 cards (for 3 challenges) & had time to upload them to my blog - WOW I am impressed with myself.
