On the 1 September I achieved my 2 stone of weight loss (4th Silver Seven).
Between then and today I have been loosing a bit, then putting it back on.
Today sees me finally achieve my 5th Silver Seven, with a total weight loss of 35.5lbs!!!!!
I am so pleased, this week has been a nightmare and to achieve this tonight was a surprise.
To celebrate tomorrow night DH & I will be going out for a meal :)

How I See Me
This title made sense to me when I was writing this post, it is all about how I feel about me when I looked at a photo taken during 2010.
Wednesday evening I was at the local Crop in Lincoln and I had put into my bag a number of photos to be scrapped for my 'Book of Me'. This was one of a group of photos taken at the Race for Life event in 2010.
My first thought when I saw this photo was 'Boy, do I look fat!' My second thought was 'I did achieve my aim of completing the 5km course in under 1 hour'.
Last January I made the decision that I did not like the way I looked, and when I had to buy a dress in a size 20 I was mortified!!!!!
Since January 2011 I have lost about 2 stone in weight (unfortunately I did put a bit of weight on over Christmas/New Year). I still want to loose a bit more weight and want to achieve that during 2012.
One big difference I have noticed about myself since I started loosing weight is my confidence. Instead of hiding away and trying not to be noticed, I now find myself standing tall and proud. I like the way my body is currently shaped - but want to be a bit slimmer.
This photo is a reminder about how I looked and will help me continue to loose more weight until I reach my goal. I will continue to go to my Weight Watchers Meetings each week and track my progress.

Weight Loss & ProMarkers
What a combination :)
Weight Loss
I wanted to mention my progress with losing weight... after losing a bit, putting a bit back on for the last 2 months I think I am now back on track to losing and losing. For the last 2 weeks I have lost weight (which is great news).
I have known for a while that the key to my weight loss (for me) is exercise, no exercise = no weight loss - however even though I knew this I did not do anything, it was just too hard. I'm not sure what changed but I decided that I really do want to lose more weight, and to do so would mean doing something!
So, at least 2-3 times a week I have started to take a walk at lunch time, it was something that I was doing occasionally (when I could be bothered!) but I am now trying to make it part of my work day. As I spend the majority of work time looking at a computer screen, it also means that I give my eyes a break too. Sometimes it is just me that goes for a walk, but quite often it is our little team of 3 that put on coats and head out into the cold. The big advantage is that the building feels like a sauna when we return LOL.
The total amount I have lost so far (since January 2011) is.....

No onto my second topic for this post, I do love my ProMarkers - just in case you did not know, but I do find them frustrating at times.
When I comes to colouring I find it relaxing, and will often sit on the floor and colour while watching TV (well listening really). I am now able to get a consistent flat layer of colour when I want, and can produce shading by adding more layers of colour. But... when it comes to blending different colours together I get mixed results.
Sometimes it goes ok, but most of the time I get a blotchy mess, which is really annoying when you have coloured the whole image in and you are on the last bit!!!!!
I have watched several tutorials on line and I get the idea, I really do, but I just won't work for me and I don't know what I am doing wrong. I start with the light shade and get darker, using the light shade to blend the colours as I go.
Next time it happens, I will take a photo of the resulting mess and post it here for comments.
OK, I have now stopped moaning about my ProMarkers, but I did want to include I picture on this post... This is a Digi Stamp from Little Claire Designs which I printed and then coloured (I don't need to say with what do I???) however I have fallen in love with this image and really, really love the coloured version.

A little bit less...
This week was a good one as far as my weight goes, I managed to lose 0.5lb... which is better than nothing.
At the moment I seem to be doing the Weight Watchers version of the Hokey Kokey... Put one pound on, take one pound off and so it goes on LOL.

Hospital Visits & Weight Loss
Things have moved slowly for DH in hospital this week, yesterday he had surgery for his Kidney Stones. The good news is that the doctors have told him that he can come home today :) The care that he has recieved on the Surgery Emergency Admission Unit has been fantastic.
On the weight loss side, I think that the exercises of walking to and from the car park to the ward has made a difference and I have lost 1.5lb this week (despite eating several McDonalds & Chinese take-aways)

Weight Watchers Update & Visitors
During the last week it has been my birthday, followed the day after by DH birthday, added to that we visited my Mother-in-Law in Devon last weekend. So although I was trying to be good it did not work completely.
Does this sound like a list of excuses... well it is, I put on 1lb last night. When I explained the last week to our leader she said I did well to only put on 1lb! So I felt a little bit better.
Total Weight Loss: 28lb
This weekend is going to be crazy... my Sister-in-Law, her husband & nephew (aged 4) arrive from Denmark today, we have had to clear out the spare room (for some reason they need a place to sleep LOL) which as meant I can't get to my craft desk :(
On Sunday we are due to take them down to the Lincolnshire Coast so that they can spend a week in our caravan. Once we collect them next weekend, they will travel down to Devon to visit MiL.
So here comes a busy weekend.

Bad week - sort of...
Due to a problem with the scales at Weight Watchers the great loss last week of 4lb was not real :(
This week we have a new set of scales and they say that compared to last week I have put on 3.5lb.
This means that I still have 1lb to reach my 2nd stone.
Most of us in the meeting last week all lost - and were all a bit confused at the amount of weight we all lost. This week most of us had put weight on.
Ok, now I have that out of my system I can concentrate on next week. I want to get my 2 Stone back...

Another good evening - I lost 4lb this week.

Day 1 of my Blog
Well this is Day 1 of my Blog (Helen's World).
As today is Thursday i will be going to Weight Watchers this evening... so far I have lost 21 lb since 7 January 2011 :) Last week was bad and I added 1lb - I don't think this week will be much better, even though I have been good and kept with my points.
